I love that this place is walking distance from my house. Their medianoche sandwich is one of the best I've ever had. My daughter and I usually split one, and surround it with a couple of empanadas and papa rellenas drenched in Cholula Hot Sauce. Their guava pastries are delicious, too. Wash it all down with a hot cortadito. The dining room is laid out a little strangely, and if you go at lunchtime, there's a better than even chance you'll end up eating it in your car because there are no empty tables, but it's still worth it.

Excellent coffee, far stronger and cheaper than Starbucks (at 50% cheaper).Great lunch specials during weekdays, usually less than a similar-size fast food combo.

LOVE, LOVE. You can get a huge cuban coffee and a fresh pastry and still leave with an extra $2 in your pocket compared to that grande soy three shot vanilla no-whip latte you've been drinking for the past 5 years. Only downfalls are that it's a bit slow during the morning rush and the stuff in the pastry case isn't labeled for us non-Cubans.

First of let me start off by saying I must have been a Latina in my past life because I'm a HUGE fan of Latin food and flavors. This is typical Cuban bakery & I love the café con leche, perfect every time! I have had their breakfast special a few times... You really cant beat it for the price I just don't really care for the ham or the bacon. My all time favorite is the steak sandwich, pan con bisteak! So YUMMY!!! The pastries and the empanadas are delish too. I don't think that the ladies at the counter are rude, I just think they are so busy they want to get people in and out especially how small it is. I like the Belvedere location much better though!! I recommend this place it's the best in the Palm Beach Gardens area.

So, I feel like a black sheep after reading all the rave reviews, but my experience was horrible. Mostly, my negativity is based on how we were treated as customers. The girl with really curly hair at the counter was incredibly rude, no smile, no hello, nothing; she just yelled "Next!", not once, but twice within literally a second--no exaggeration here--very impatiently and with a very unwelcoming demeanor. Boiled down, she yelled at us, her customers. MAJOR markdown here. Working in customer service, as a server or as a cashier, politeness in key. If your customers don't feel welcomed, the experience they have will be negative. Case in point. If the customer service has been good, I would have given this place 4 or 5 stars. The pastry display was very pretty with lots of variety. The pastries with cream filling were filled with REAL cream, not synthetic filler; awesome pastries, basically. Try them! There wasn't a lot of variety in regards to coffee, which I was expecting since it is "Tulipan Bakery & Cafe," but that's not a big deal. I guess it's a more authentic coffee selection rather than the lattes, etc., I'm used to. Layout was a bit strange, too, but again, not a big deal. Customer service is a big deal. I know a single bad review won't really hurt Tulipan's popularity or business, but I do hope a manager reads this and sets that girl's attitude straight.

Cafe con leche y tostada! That's all I care about (well food wise anyway) when I'm home visiting my fam...and I can NOT believe it took me so long to visit this spot! It's on point...and I'm oh so happy that it is. The pastries were so delicious too! I went to college in Miami and my parents live in Palm Beach...and I'm always looking for that perfect Cuban bakery...I did find it...finally...THANK YOU TULIPAN!!

We love coming here for the authenticity of the people and food. The coffee is delicious as as the milkshakes! They also do lunch specials each day and have a menu of sandwiches too. The empanadas are perfect if you are on the go, and the pastries look to die for. Most of them are beyond delicious as I have tasted most of them!! The dining area is small but does the trick and the attendants are wonderful.

This bakery is amazing. Delicious and fresh pastries, great customer service. No complaints here. It is SO HARD to find a great bakery in South Florida, so I am glad that one of my sisters let me know about this one. You must have egg and cheese on a croissant for breakfast. It will change your life.

Great bakery selection. Cuban sandwich is about as good as I have had anywhere. This is a very busy spot, so you know it's good, but be prepared to stand in line a while most hours you'd be looking to eat.

The Cafe con Leche is yummy! They also have sandwiches and tons of pastries. Line moves fast, they always seem to have enough people working the counter.

Tulipan, how I miss you when I'm away! Is it wrong that I organize business trip accomodations based on your location? Tulipan is THE best place in Palm Beach County for a Cuban breakfast of pastelitos and cafe con leche. My particular favorite is the guava and cheese pastry but everything is good: the pastries are flakey, buttery and have the perfect proportion of filling relative to their size. After trying many similar such pastries all over South Florida, none are better than Tulipan's! At this location, there is a small seating area where you can enjoy your pastry and read a newspaper. It's not always the quickest place since each beverage is pretty much individually made by a single person, but it's worth it. I come here every time I'm in town, whether I'm hungry or not.

Wow, the cuban sandwiches here are great! Very large, one sandwich can easily fill up two people. Good flavor and not super greasy like other places. I ordered the cafe con leche was well as the fresh squeezed orange juice -- both were fantastic! Don't pass up on either. There's a very large seating area with the biggest booths I've ever seen as well as smaller tables. There's also a glass display of pastries. I would stick to the pastelitos (guava, cheese filled), we ordered those as well as an alfajores cookie and a napolean. The pastelitos definitely tasted fresher whereas the others had that rank been-in-the-fridge-too-long flavor. Good find.

Awesome Café Con Leche, excellent staff, and very reasonably priced! I go several times a week before work to pick up breakfast, highly recommend!

Ground beef empinadas were very good with a delicate, flaky crust and just the right seasonings on the beef. The Cuban sandwich was a big disappointment. The ham tasted "off" and ruined the experience. The pork was fine. The pickle was just OK. And that was it. Couldn't find any swiss cheese, mayo or mustard on the sandwich. We're used to and want all of those on our Cubans (we've recently moved from the Tampa Bay area.) We don't eat many sweets and comment on the bakery items. Won't go back.

I just went and admitted I did not know what to get; so the very friendly woman behind the counter smiled & made me feel at home, suggesting a Cuban Sandwich, but so many variations I asked her to make me one like she would make for her family or friend. Plus, I ordered a cafe con leche--SO good & reasonably priced, no matter I would pay more it was so good. I sampled a sweet/savoury beef pastry from the case, sorry don't know the name & ate that while my sandwich was prepared. Watched soccer with some Paraguay fans--but Costa Rica won! Nice camaraderie here, very homey indeed. All are welcome. Enough seats. Clean. When I went to get my sandwich, because it was busy, she told me---oops it had heated for too long & would be dry/ruined & then proceeded to give me a free desert! I was just chilling, watching soccer & did not care about the time to make another one, so that goes to show the kind of place it is. But I happily ate the delicious desert, a leche type of bread pudding in a small plastic container---with whip cream on top! VEry sweet, so perfect with an unsweetened coffee... So--along with two empanadas for breakfast, I left with my new hot sandwich a very happy woman! I will bring friends here with me & plan to sample more from their outstanding pastry case. This was the Northlake location. I highly recommend, but reluctantly as I don't want to have to stand in line too long!

You want to get something good and fast? A place with tables but no wait? No wait staff to deal with? Then this is it! The gals at the counter are fast, and there are generally plenty on duty so there isn't much waiting. Pay, grab, N GO, or eat it there in one of the booths, or stools at a long bar like table. The flour empanadas are $2.15. I like the ham and cheese best! The guava cream cheese pastries are good too. Im sure many more are that I haven't tried. I noticed a couple near me eating a Cuban Sandwich, $6.75 and the other had the breadfast of Cuban Bread, 2 eggs, and bacon. The breakfast looked good! Go to a coffee shop and order that and you will pay much more and the amount of bacon I saw on her place im sure would be twice what a restaurant would have on a similar place. The Cuban Sandwich looked real good too! They have a coupon on restaurant.com too! I'll go back!!!

I had the Cuban sandwich and sweet plantains. Disappointed with both, not very good at all. I threw away the majority of the meal I spent $8 plus dollars on. Should of went to Pollo Tropical. Wouldn't suggest this to anyone.

Insane! I was introduced to a Cuban Sandwich about 15 years ago in Tampa. I instantly fell in love. Now, I try to find a good Cuban sandwich whenever I'm in Florida. This task is much more difficult than you can imagine. On our way back home from our cruise vacation, my husband and I began our search for my Cuban sandwich. The first couple of places were closed...Thank Goodness! We finally landed at Tulipan Bakery. My Cuban sandwich was even better than the first one I fell in love with 15 years ago! Definitely will be on our list of "must visit again."

Best cafe con leche and pastry u can get in North Palm Beach, great service by smiling girls who all tend to know your preferences if you stop by more often , lunch it's great too , my favorites are Monday and Tuesday lunch specials

Great food, friendly service, yummy pastries - definitely a win. We went late Saturday afternoon so the place was mostly empty. The girl behind the counter was friendly and helpful. My husband and I both had Cuban sandwiches (mine was on sweetbread). After we ordered the sandwiches we realized they had plantains. We asked for an order and the girl said she had to check b/c they didn't serve the lunch menu on the weekend. That was a surprise as there was no sign saying that and the sandwich order has been no issue - but she came back saying no prob. While we were waiting we perused the extensive pastries and the girl was happy to help us. When we got our food it was very good and the desserts we have tried so far have been very good as well. Recommended.

Was really bad food. We had the Cuban sandwich. The bread was not fresh, very dry and hard, wasn't authentic Cuban bread, and the meat tasted off, too. It was so bad that I threw most of it away. Def don't reco this place at all. The cafe con leche was good and the pastries in the cases looked good... Maybe that would have been a better choice. (???)

Great little gem in Lake Park. You don't have to love Cuban food to love this place. Breakfast is always hot and fresh and super inexpensive. The fresh orange juice is fantastic. Don't let the lines scare you off, it moves quickly.

Delicious Cuban coffees and empanadas for very good prices! Love the quick service! It's a quick to-go type of place but you can sit and eat there if you want.

Recently moved to North Palm from Boca, and for this Miami native Tulipan has been an awesome find. Back to old school Calle Ocho style cafe con leche that is as good as I have ever had in Miami and their guava pastries and sandwiches are spot on. Love the simple quality and value that takes me back to a period when coffee was all sold in places like this, as it should be. Try it you wont be sorry.

This is an awesome place if you're looking for something different to take in for a business meeting or for a family outing. The menu is authentic and always fresh. The counter staff always smiles and gives the best service possible. It seems that ever time that I've visited this location that some customer has been a real 'rear-end' to the staff. This is a walk up counter that serves made to order food. It's not a fast food restaurant. Please understand that when you order. Their cafe' cubano is right on the money. I've never left here not wondering when I'd have a chance to go back, again.

I have always loved Tulipan, I grew up in North Palm and I have fond memories of my dad coming home from the fire department and picking up pastries for us in the morning. As I grew up and worked as an EMT in south Florida, I grew to love cafe con leche as my morning pick me up after a night shift and this place never let me down. Although the girls who knew my order have moved on, they are still really consistent with their product and I have never left unhappy. I had breakfast here today with another paramedic friend and she took a Cuban sandwich with her for lunch. I took a box of guava pastries home to my parents and they've already been devoured. Consistent, quick, and always busy. I'll always come back.

I went today for the first and last time. My co-workers normally get treats from this store and I thought I would today. I walked in and was not acknowledged by the woman at the register chatting with s customer. I stood there for a while as the woman and her friend chatted. Not until two more customers came on did the register woman go in the back to get help. The short woman that came out screamed next and register woman watched as the two new customers jumped ahead of me. So I left. Poor customer service. Great food doesn't make up for rude employees.

Much better than their Belvedere shop -- the service is spectacular. We went for a pulled pork lunch box served with yucca, rice and beans. You can read my review for the other Tulipan. Everything I said about Belvedere applies here. Good job guys.

Stopped here on my way to the airport. Got some baked beef empanadas for the flight. The perfect portable food. They were pretty good. Not the best I've had, but definitely tasty. Their 'cafe con leche' was perfection. Although it was takeout for me, I would recommend they set up some tables and chairs as there's no place to eat and they definitely have the space.

The guava and cheese pastelitas and cafe con leche are the best around. Whenever we are in Palm Beach, we have breakfast at Tulipan's every morning and take a dozen for the road when we leave!

I've been to the Belvedere and Northlake locations a few times & always enjoyed their sandwiches and baked goods. But the Northlake location made a mistake on a cake I ordered 24 hours in advance for a birthday party so they had to bake another one therefore my cake was delayed the day of the party. I was annoyed but I made the best out of the situation. The cake was absolutely delicious but to my shock and dismay I nearly bit into a HUGE screw that was baked into the cake! I took a picture of it & uploaded it on my Face Book account. They did do a great job on my second cake but I don't think I will be going back to the Northlake location again.

Great fresh squeezed OJ and good pastries (although a little heavy on the dulce de leche selections). Excellent sandwiches. The lines are a bit long sometimes, but it's just a sign that you're going to get something amazing.
